Description

Based on decades of playing many sets of smallpipes, these bellows offer a fully functional alternative to traditional hand-sewn bellows for Northumbrian and Scottish smallpipes.

Efficiency and lightness of construction matches the traditional hand-sewn form with ~8mm hardwood cheeks and the (faux leather) material sealed against the internal face of the cheek. Cheek length is 225mm and fully open extension is ~230mm (9″). The outlet pipe can be cut to length as needed and is supplied with a 14.5mm (~9/16″) fitting which will match the majority of NSP & SSP blowpipes with an appropriate thread wrapping. The adjustable (and replacable) belt is 1m in length (3’3″) – a 1.5m belt can be supplied on request.

These bellows can also be used with other types of bellows blown bagpipes.
